DETROIT A 425-horsepower 6.1-liter engine isn't the only ways to distinguish the Dodge Challenger SRT8 from the midlevel 370-horsepower 2009 Challenger R/T. Inside Line has learned that a new hood-to-fender stripe will be offered as an exclusive option on next year's Challenger R/T.
Sources say the more modern stripe will be priced at $200, and that all stripes will be black, except when ordered on a black car, which will get silver stripes instead.
A of a red 2009 Challenger R/T with the new stripe package is already posted on Chrysler's Red Letter Dodge Web site.
The 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T starts at $29,995.
