Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Ganja Automobile Factory (GanjAz) in Azerbaijan concluded a contract with Minsk tractor enterprise.
GanjAz Director Khanlar Hajiyev said the contract supposes production of 80,000 tractors.
We will focus on production of 1,700-2,000 tractors this year in Azerbaijan. Within agreement with Minsk tractor enterprise it is supposed to produce 80,000 tractors for export to the third countries Iran, Turkey, Georgia, South Russia. The contracts amount is $1 bn. for three years, K.Hajiyev said.
The Factorys potential allows producing 5,000 tractors a year on existing areas.
At present Ganja Automobile Factory (GanjAz) keeps on co-operation with Minsk Tractor Plant to create a joint venture for Belarus tractor export third states. Capacity of the Azeri-Byelorussian JV will be 8,000-10,000 a year. Its output will be exported to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and border regions of Russia. A 7,000 sq.m area was allocated for the JV at GanjAz.
