South Florida Driver Gets 'Mad as Hell' and Fights Back Against Soaring South...
BOCA RATON, Fla., -- A new website inspired by the outrageous gas prices in South Florida has started to help local drivers fight back.

The site is www.CheapSouthFloridaGas.com . It was started by a local driver who became outraged after filling his tank at a South Florida station only to find the same gas was 23 cents cheaper just up the road!

After doing some homework, he discovered that all the individual gas sites out there are incomplete in their coverage of South Florida. What was needed was one local site that collected all the information and compiled more complete data specifically for South Florida!

What was also needed was a site that would email this money-saving information right to you during the week so you have it when you need it. He created www.CheapSouthFloridaGas.com , which is the only locally operated site on the web that focuses exclusively on South Florida pumps, and the only site on the web that offers customized email price alerts that target customized South Florida neighborhoods! All you do is register your neighborhoods, and the price alerts contain better information for where you actually drive!

The site was started by Elliot Cohen, a media consultant and former journalist who has interviewed more than a few frustrated drivers over the years. "I couldn't believe there was no one else doing this. One of the great mysteries of life seems to be why two gas stations in the same town, even on the same road, selling the same gas, can charge such different prices. What I wanted was to put the power back in our hands," said Cohen.

All a driver needs to do is sign up. Then register the neighborhoods where they drive the most, and the customized price alerts are sent right to the person's inbox several times per week with information specific to their South Florida neighborhood. The few dollars per month cost for the service is meant to cover the expenses of registering and running the site.

Now, when you need to fill up, you will know if it's worth it to drive another minute down the road to save money at the pump.
