No, not from McLaren, but to the modern racing driver's residence of choice; Switzerland.
Lewis says that he's moving to escape the aggressive media attention that he's experienced since exploding onto the Formula One circuit at the beginning of this year.
"It was a tough decision. My dream for years was to move to London," he told BBC Sport.
"When I was coming up I knew there were sacrifices. You don't understand what that means until you get there and really struggle to lead a normal life."
Rather ironically, the news arrives the day after his hometown of Stevenage announced its intention to name a street after him.
"Everyone in the town is enormously proud of the fact that Lewis comes from Stevenage," said council leader Sharon Taylor.
Some UK F1 fans have already voiced their disappointment at him leaving his own country, yet he joins established superstars Alonso, Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher who haven't experienced any dip in support from their countries of origin.
And considering who his new neighbours are, it's not too surprising that Hamilton's chosen the country he has.
That and the low rate of tax...
