Chrysler LLC confirmed at the weekend that a new Chrysler-UAW 2007 national labour agreement, had been ratified by a majority in ballots of UAW members. Chrysler and the UAW reached a tentative agreement on Wednesday, October 10, after three months of bargaining. The agreement includes the creation of an independent retiree health care trust, as did GMs earlier agreement with the UAW, and Chrysler said itsfuture competitiveness was heightened by(the) constructive agreement.
