Escorts` director and COO Nikhil Nanda has been elevated to the position of joint managing director of the company.
In his new role, he will lead the operations of the company and will drive the business growth initiatives of Escorts, the company informed in a release.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the board of directors (BoD) of the company, held on Sep. 19, 2007.
Nikhil Nanda, an alumnus of Wharton School of Management, USA joined Escorts in 1997.
