| SoftBrands Partners With Shift4(R) to Expand Payment Processing Offerings |
 |
LAS VEGAS, PRNewswire/ -- Shift4 Corporation, a leading developer of enterprise payment solutions, and SoftBrands, Inc. , a global supplier of enterprise application software, have announced a partnership to offer hoteliers more alternatives to processing credit, debit and gift card transactions. SoftBrands is currently in development with Shift4 to offer a Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant payment gateway that accepts and processes transactions quickly, accurately and securely.
"We are excited to offer our customers more options when it comes to credit card processing. Shift4's proven system provides a secure alternative to traditional payment processing systems. Our customers now have the option of outsourcing their process, which reduces infrastructure complexities and lowers the cost of upgrading their systems for PCI compliance," said David Gandrud, Director of Marketing for SoftBrands Hospitality.
"This relationship gives us an opportunity to secure SoftBrands applications to best fit the needs of its clients. For just pennies per transaction, SoftBrands customers not only receive the highest level of data security, but a fully integrated payment gateway with no hidden costs, maintenance or annual fees," commented Daniel Montellano, Manager of Business Development - Hospitality for Shift4.
$$$ ON THE NET(R) from Shift4 provides high-speed and low-cost authorizations and settlements. This system is based on Tokenization technology -- developed and publicly released by Shift4 in 2005 -- that provides world-class transaction security by replacing all cardholder information with a Token, which has no value if stolen, and renders the data useless in the event of a breach. This security benefit will extend across SoftBrands' Medallion, Portfolio and Epitome Property Management Systems (PMS). $$$ ON THE NET is certified to be in compliance with all Card Association regulations and recognized by Visa USA as compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
"We are proud to partner with SoftBrands to meet the needs of their customers by easing compliance concerns and helping to alleviate cardholder data security fears. Shift4's focus has been built around securely managing, transporting and storing data. It's the core of our business, but very much out of the realm of the core competencies of most hoteliers. As they continue to focus on their core business, Shift4 provides SoftBrands with a seamless payment process based on delivering real security without inundating its resources," stated Dave Oder, President and CEO, Shift4 Corporation.
