GM India to appoint more dealers
CHENNAI: Enthused over the response to its hatchback Chevrolet 'Spark', General Motors India on Monday said it is considering appointment of more dealers in the country.

General Motors Director (Operation) Sanjiv Garh told a press conference here that at present the company had 78 dealers and this would progressively go upto 160 in two years.

The company will also establish more service centres.

Spark has been priced at Rs 3,09,851 (ex-showroom price Chennai), he said.

The company expects to sell about 8,000 units of Optra range in 2007, 70 per cent of which will be the diesel version. Around 16,000 units of Aveo, Aveo-UVA and Chevrolet SRV are expected to be sold out, he said.
