GM to introduce more brands in India
KOLKATA: Buoyed by the response of Chevrolet marque launched four years ago, General Motors India may introduce more brands like Cadillac, Pontiac, Saab in the country, to capture a 10 per cent share in the passenger vehicle market by 2010.

"It cannot be ruled out that GM brands like Cadillac, Pontiac, Saab and Vauxhall would be launched in India," GM India President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba told reporters here on Monday.

He said the new brands would be introduced at an appropriate time.

Launching the Chevrolet Spark mini-car here, Chaba said the company targeted to sell 70,000 cars per annum. At present, GM India is selling 2,000 units of Tavera and Aveo each per month across the country.
