Saleen S7R Completes French GT Season on Magny-Cours
Racing with an 80 kg weight ballast, Team Saleen/Oreca drivers Soheil Ayari and Bruno Hernandez finished the French GT season on a high note by capturing both poles and winning Sunday's race -- withstanding the most adverse weather conditions.

Day one subjected the #9 Saleen S7R to foul weather, forcing the car to sit out for safety reasons. Sunday's race was more notable as it was marked with an aggressive relay between the Saleen S7R and the Corvette (C5-R), in which the S7R won over the Corvette with a 14 second lead. As a result, Team Saleen/Oreca won the 2006 French GT season with their eighth victory out of fourteen races!

"I am very proud to have finished the season in this way," Soheil Ayari stated in closing of the season.

Bruno Hernandez added, "I had two objectives this year: To progress in piloting, which I feel I succeeded, particularly because of Soheil; secondly -- not to disappoint the team. There was this beautiful osmosis between the Team, Soheil and myself. We will now celebrate this title. What a superb season with Saleen!"

Founder and Vice Chairman, Steve Saleen is already looking forward to 2007. "From the success of the partnership with Oreca this year, we are eagerly looking forward to the 2007 racing season!"
