| Newest Entrant to Georgia's Auto Insurance Market Delivers Savings as Sweet as the State's Peaches |
 |
The Georgia Department of Insurance approved a filing for Unitrin Direct to do business in its state, and the increased competition could save Georgia residents money on their auto insurance costs. The Unitrin Direct auto insurance program streamlines its approach to business and often saves new customers up to 20% or more on their car insurance premiums. "Our customers can purchase and manage their policies directly with us online or over the phone," said Scott Carter, Unitrin Direct president. "It's convenient and dealing directly with us can result in substantial savings."
Georgia is the 10th largest market in the country for personal automobile insurance and has recently experienced growth in the number of car insurance companies that sell policies there. "While the savings attract people to Unitrin Direct, it's the way we take care of our policyholders that differentiates us from other direct companies," said Brian Crumbaker, Unitrin Direct senior vice president, operations and claims. "We're constantly investing in ways to make it simple to do business with us." Take claims service, for instance. Unitrin Direct made a major investment in information technology, so when customers have an accident, their claims representative can quickly coordinate every detail of their property damage claim in real- time. The result? They're back on the road sooner. "That's the kind of commitment to service that people should expect from their auto insurance company," added Crumbaker.
In addition to pressing the competition on price and service, Unitrin Direct brings convenient online auto insurance options to Georgia with its easy-to-use website, www.unitrindirect.com/. "It's fast and easy to get an online car insurance quote with us," said Andrew Mason, Unitrin Direct Georgia product manager. "Folks appreciate how simple we make it for them to quote and buy auto insurance online and customers can manage every aspect of their policy on our site anytime they want."
Some people prefer to talk with someone about their insurance, so Unitrin Direct has experienced, licensed agents on staff who can give car insurance quotes over the phone or help drivers determine if their current coverage is meeting their needs. To speak directly with a licensed agent, call Unitrin Direct at (800) 642-5254. "We're excited about giving Georgia residents an affordable car insurance alternative," said Mason. "As a Georgia native myself, I know the people here appreciate good service and we're committed to delivering it."
