| In-House Tune: TRD Takes on Toyota FJ Cruiser |

TORRANCE, Calif. - Good news for SEMA goers: Toyota plans to unveil a new TRD Special Edition of the 2007 FJ Cruiser at the big fall tuner show, with sales to begin shortly afterward.
The '07 FJ Cruiser starts at $23,090 for the manual-transmission model and $23,500 with the automatic. The TRD package will add $7,265 to the manual version and $7,250 to the automatic. Vehicles should start arriving at Toyota dealers in November, right after SEMA.
Only 3,200 units of the TRD Special Edition 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser will be built and sold.
The TRD Special Edition bundles red-painted TRD/Bilstein monotube shocks, as well as a locking differential that is now synchronized with the active traction control system. The 16-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires are mounted on TRD alloy wheels painted gunmetal gray. The special FJ Cruiser also gets a TRD performance exhaust and an all-black paint scheme with black roof and TRD badging.
Inside, the package includes seat-mounted side airbags and side curtains; a multi-informational display with compass, inclinometer and temp gauge; six-disc CD changer; all-weather cargo mats and a quick shifter on manual-transmission models.
Separately, Toyota announced a modest price hike of 1.2 percent on the 2007 Camry Hybrid, which starts at $26,200.
