| Exec Shuffle: PR Chief for Audi of America Jumps Ship |
 |
The executive musical chairs continue at Audi of America.
Jennifer Cortez told Inside Line on Wednesday that she has given her notice and will begin a new job in early July as executive account director for General Motors at Clear!Blue, a Birmingham, Michigan, public relations and marketing agency.
The agency is best known for staging Chrysler's elaborate press conferences and created its Firehouse concept, which is one of the centerpieces of the North American International Auto Show.
Cortez says she will work on a strategic communications plan for General Motors as part of its corporate turnaround plan. Her resignation follows the recent naming of Jeffrey Kuhlman, a longtime General Motors public relations executive, as the chief communications officer at Audi of America. The new post for Kuhlman slotted in above Cortez, who, until that point, was the German automaker's top public relations executive in the United States.
