Hyundai is to take over the sales, distribution and repair of its light and medium trucks in the USA, replacing Bering Trucks, who failed after only a short term in the market. Hyundai will use most of the Bering dealers as they are already in place, but is likely to use the Hyundai and Kia nameplates henceforth, especially after two strong years in the passenger car sector. Few people associated Bering with Hyundai, and that will help the Korean company to pick up the pieces without being associated with the failure of Bering.
