Bajaj Auto Ltd`s sales in December rose 3 percent to 173,479 units from 168,806 units a year earlier.
It said sales of motorcycles rose 3 per cent to 148,263 units from 143,727, and sales of all two-wheelers were up 1 percent at 154,945 units against 154,101 units.
Sales of three-wheelers rose 26 per cent to 18,534 units from 14,705 units a year earlier and exports rose 63 per cent to 18,534 units from 11,360 units a year earlier
It further added that Bajaj motorcycle and 2 wheeler market shares have increased from 27.5% and 24.2% in April-December 2004 to estimated 30.2% and 26.5% respectively in April-December 2005. Bajaj expects to stabilize motorcycle volumes at 200,000 units per month during January-March 2006. Towards this end, Bajaj is launching an all new motorcycle in the Value Segment during this quarter
