General Motors sales up 18% in '05
NEW DELHI: General Motors India on Monday reported 18 per cent sales growth in the year ended 2005, clocking a total of 30,837 units as against 26,166 units in 2004.

The main growth driver of the company remained its multi-utility vehicle Chevrolet Tavera, which sold units 18,622 units in the year as against 8,471 units in 2004, a growth of 121 per cent.

During the month of December GMI sold 1,603 units of Tavera, 462 units of Chevrolet Optra and 97 units of Opel Corsa.
