| GM Ends Production of Isuzu Model |
 |
General Motors has announced it will end production of the seven-passenger Isuzu Ascender in February upon the closing of its assembly plant in Oklahoma City. The seven-passenger Ascender accounted for 22.5 percent of Isuzu's sales for the year, reports Automotive News. The move leaves Isuzu dealers with just three vehicles: the five-seat Ascender and the i280 and i350 pickups. Isuzu's U.S. unit is still projected to post a profit in fiscal 2005 for the first time in five years.
