Chrysler Design Gallery Offers Perfect Holiday Gifts for Auto Enthusiasts and Art Collectors on Every List
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., -- The Walter P. Chrysler Museum can make shopping for the auto enthusiast or art collector on your holiday list a breeze with a host of unique gifts from the Chrysler Design Gallery. Available exclusively through the Museum's gift shop, the Chrysler Design Gallery features automotive sculptures, digitally rendered art prints, poster prints and a how-to drawing book that will transform any young artist into an automotive designer.

The Chrysler Design Gallery line of desktop size limited edition sculptures includes the:

* Chrysler Atlantic Concept Car in bronze-toned resin on a black base ($150)

* Gazelle-inspired hood ornament that graced the 1932 Chrysler Imperial ($29.95)

* "Essence of the Automobile, the Chrysler Designer Collection" featuring "Thirties Something", created by Trevor M. Creed, Senior Vice President of Design for the Chrysler Group; as well as "Fabulous Fifties", "Tom's Coupe", "ME Four Twelve", "Airflite" and "Firepower". Made of resin with a brushed chrome finish, the sculptures run $39.95 - $59.95.

All sculptures come with a Certificate of Authenticity and are packed in a keepsake box suitable for display.

The Chrysler Design Gallery also features two unique sets of digitally rendered art prints from the Chrysler Design Group Product Office:

* The first limited edition set features a series of 18 different automotive designs that are numbered and signed by the designer. Each of the ten print sets, in varying sizes, is $500 framed and $200 unframed.

* The second limited edition set is presented in a portfolio of seven 11" x 17" prints. The portfolios are handmade with each print on acid-free paper and silk-screened with the Chrysler Design Office logo. The prints are signed by the designers and slipped into protective sleeves. Each of the 48 portfolios is $500.

All digitally rendered art prints from the Chrysler Design Group Product Office come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Trevor Creed.

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum gift shop also carries four-color poster prints showcasing such concept vehicles as the Chrysler ME Four Twelve, the Dodge Tomahawk, the Dodge Power Wagon, the Jeep(R) Hurricane and the Chrysler Firepower. Ranging in size from 30" x 24" - 36" x 27", the images are reproduced on high quality photographic stock and are priced at $24.95 - $29.95.

"Learn to Draw Cars from DaimlerChrysler Designers," a how-to book presented by the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, is the gift shop's newest arrival. The glossy 24-page, four-color edition features step-by-step instructions and illustrations by four Chrysler Group designers for drawing a truck, sports utility vehicle, sedan and sports car. The book also features a glossary of automotive design terms, final concept vehicle drawings with draft component sketches, drawing paper and a ruler/template sheet featuring various design guides. Geared for students in fifth grade and beyond, the spiral-bound book runs $14.95.

The Museum's gift shop is also stocked with die cast models, books, apparel, collectibles and souvenirs highlighting Hot Rods and Cool Mods, the Museum's special exhibition running through Aug. 20, 2006.

The gift shop is located on the main level of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, at the corner of Featherstone and Squirrel Roads on DaimlerChrysler's Auburn Hills complex. The shop is open during regular Museum hours: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday and noon - 6 p.m. Sunday. Checks, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA are accepted.
