On London-based organiser WBR will host an Istanbul conference bringing together over 120 European and Turkish automotive executives responsible for developing their companies' businesses in Turkey.
Renault, Ford, Fiat, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Toyota all produce vehicles in Turkey, and in 2002, there were 185 foreign company partnerships in the country's automotive industry, most of them European.
Sixty-nine per cent of Turkey's automotive exports are destined for the EU and the UK is among the leading importing countries, along with France, Germany, and Italy.
Jan Nahum, CEO of the Petrol Office and former CEO of TOFAS TURKEY will open the conference with a presentation on the future of the Turkish automotive sector.
Case study presentations will come from Renault Oyak, Ford Otosan, Tofas Turkey, Temsa/Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz and Otokoc and Tier 1 suppliers present in Turkey including Hayes-Lemmerz and Bosch.
