| Ford's head of hybrid program to leave |

DETROIT - Ford Motor Co.'s high-profile executive in charge of its gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle program has put in her resignation, the auto maker said on Friday.
The departure of Mary Ann Wright, director of Ford's sustained mobility technology and hybrid vehicle programs, comes at a time when the No. 2 U.S. auto maker is pushing ahead with ambitious growth plans for the hybrid segment.
Wright is leaving for personal reasons, Ford spokesman Oscar Suris said.
Nancy Gioia, director of Ford's current model vehicle quality for North America, will replace Wright on November 1.
Suris said Wright has agreed to help with the transition.
Wright's resignation is latest in a series of high-profile exits at Ford, which is struggling to turn around its automotive operations. Phil Martens, Ford's head of product development in North America, left the auto maker earlier this month.
Ford recently said it was planning to boost global production of hybrid vehicles tenfold to 250,000 annually by 2010.
